HANNAWA FALLS – Helping Hands of Potsdam (Hannawa Falls) acknowledges the Partch Family and honored JoAnne Partch for a generous donation of $1,000 to support operations.
JoAnne Partch, a native of Long Beach, CA, died at age 87 peacefully on September 27 after a year of failing health.
For 66 years she was loving and supportive of husband Richard and mother to daughters Kimberly, Stacey and Lisa. The family moved to Potsdam in 1965 after Richard earned his PhD at the University of Rochester and JoAnne served as a nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital.
They lived on Sealy Dr. in the village and JoAnne became a valued nurse for local family doctors. In 1986, “beach-loving girl” JoAnne told Richard she wanted to move to live on the water. They purchased property on Hannawa Pond and enjoyed every minute of their lives there.
