PIERREPONT - Graveside services for Jeanne E. Green, 83, a resident of 864 Buck Pond Road, Colton, will be held in the Beech Plains Cemetery, Pierrepont, on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date to be announced.
Mrs. Green passed away late Monday evening at her home surrounded by family. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifford; two sons, Timothy and Cathy Green, Pierrepont and Robert Green and his companion Tamara Tebo, also of Pierrepont; her three beloved grandchildren, Timothy J. and Crystal Green Jr., Fred E. Green and Heather M. Champagne; one great-granddaughter, Betty; a sister, Lisa and Michael Azzarone, Rensselaer Falls; her three step-siblings, William "Bill" Bump, Darlene Bump and Michael and Stephanie Simpson as well as several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was pre-deceased by her parents, Arthur and Maude, an infant son, Jimmy Green, a granddaughter, Chelsie Green, two brothers, Edwin and Donald Simpson; a sister, Dorothy "Dot" Seaman and her step-parents, Ed and Beverly Simpson.
Born in Heuvelton, NY on May 19, 1943 to the late Arthur and Maude Smithers Stowe, Jeanne graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School, Class of 1961 and later that year married Clifford D. Green on July 12, 1961. A devoted homemaker, Jeanne raised her children alongside Clifford, and in her free time she enjoyed arts and crafts, camping and traveling, especially to New Hampshire, working in her flower gardens and watching the wildlife, especially the birds. She found her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
