NORWOOD – Calling hours for Gary N. Woodward, 69, a resident of Norwood, will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood from 4-7 p.m.
A prayer will be offered at 6:30 p.m. by Mother Sonya Boyce.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1pm at Riverside Cemetery in Norwood.
Gary passed away on Sunday morning, September 15, 2024, at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Gary is survived by his longtime companion, Peggy Agnew, Norwood; a brother, William and Diane Woodward, Florida; a sister, Irene and Leon Ober, Norwood; his sons, Gary and Justin, Peggy's daughters, Liz and Leah, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gary was pre-deceased by his parents and a son, Jason Woodward.
Born in Buffalo, NY on December 1, 1954 to the late William and Helen Kristyak Woodward, Gary attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School and became an HVAC technician.
He worked for Empire Northeast, Gouverneur and Ductman Mechanical, Norfolk.
Gary enjoyed riding four-wheelers with Peggy and their friends at camp.
In his spare time, Gary enjoyed solving mechanical problems, and more recently building wooden models.
He will be missed for his self-deprecating humor, light-hearted banter, and kind spirit.
