POTSDAM — Gardens galore, from vegetable gardens, annual and perennial flower beds, to a fruit tree nursery, tree lots, and aeroponic garden systems, were seen during the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild’s garden tour held June 17.

Ten Potsdam-area gardens were opened up to the public as a fundraiser for the hospital guild.

The tour included many venues designated as NYS Climate Smart Community properties.

Property owners hosted their gardens from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., as attendees traveled from one to the next, sharing information on gardening, energy conservation, and composting.[img_assist|nid=341739|title=Christine Lancaster, left, digs up a plant in her garden to give to Kathleen Williams during the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild’s garden tour June 17.
