POTSDAM — Potsdam’s first-ever Oktoberfest featured live bands, pumpkin chucking and painting, food and beverage trucks and more on Saturday, at Ives Park Oct. 12.
“We are happy for the weather, live bands, and for everyone who showed up and enjoyed themselves for the first Oktoberfest held here,” said organizer Becky Schwartz, co-owner of Hoof and Horn Butcher and Eatery.
The event was a fundraiser for the North Country CHildren’s Museum.
Live music was provided by Mose Crossing, the Band, and Skip Star and the Renditions.
Mayor Alexandra Wilke gave a toast during the event, dressed in German garb for the Oktoberfest celebration.
