Four-way race for Massena village trustee; county treasurer, family court judge races uncontested

Posted

St. Lawrence County voters will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and while the presidential election will be hotly contested, all state and county elections are uncontested.

There is a three-way race for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Kirsten Gillibrand, along with a head-to-head matchup between Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Paula Collins for the 21st Congressional District.

The village of Massena also has a four-way race for two village trustee seats with current Deputy Mayor Chad Simpson facing off against newcomers Ronald Leroux Jr. and Brandon "Tex" Webb, with former politicial candidate David Broadbent now seeking a trustee seat.

But all incumbents for state Assembly -- Republicans Scott Gray and Ken Blankenbush -- as well as state Senate -- Republicans Mark Walczyk and Dan Stec -- are facing no opposition.

At the county level, Democrat Renne M. Cole is unopposed in her bid to be re-elected county Treasurer. Republican Effie Kyriakopoulos is running unopposed for Family Court Judge.
