Dr. Megendra Thakur

POTSDAM – Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, a leader in compassionate, end-of-life care, welcomes Dr. Megendra Thakur to the Hospice medical team.

He is a highly esteemed physician with extensive experience in pulmonary medicine. Dr. Thakur will help Hospice fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

“Dr. Thakur’s commitment to patients’ physical health and his expertise in assessing a range of complex conditions are vital parts of Hospice care. Dr. Thakur will review patient referrals and admissions. This will give our on-call nurses more of the information they need to provide the range of care that can improve quality of life for our patients and their family members,” said Hospice CEO Ruth Fishbeck.

He has also demonstrated a keen interest in the overall health of our community and the environmental factors that play an important role in individual wellbeing. Dr. Thakur has also proven his enthusiasm to work closely with other healthcare professionals in support of patient health and comfort.
