MASSENA — Anglers have taken to the waters again bright and early this morning, Aug. 11, for day two of Major League Fishing’s Toyota Series three-day tournament.
This is the second stop up north for the Northern Division this season.
Leading the way after day-one weigh-ins is Travis Manson, who brought a total weight of 25 pounds, 2 ounces, squeezing in front of Brian Green, who came in with 23 pounds, 14 ounces for the day.
Behind the leaders is a large group of anglers who all broke the 20 pound mark and sit inside the top-20.
“It was a long run, and it started out pretty good; I was catching fish every drift,” Manson told Major League Fishing.
“It shut down quickly, and I had to make some adjustments. Of course, the wind decided to really kick up, so I had to change some weights so I could feel the baits a little bit better.”
Weigh-in will occur at 2 p.m. today at the Massena Intake boat launch.
Anglers will once again take to the waters for the third and final day on Saturday, with boats set to launch at 6 a.m. sharp.
