POTSDAM — The Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild’s “soup committee” has announced a new fall fundraiser, “October-Feast,” set for Oct. 23 at the First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam.
Following the popularity of its takeout lunch held each winter in Canton, the group hopes to achieve similar success with the new fundraiser in Potsdam, with the support of the community.
The Guild’s fundraising efforts this year are focused on helping fund significant renovations to and expansion of the hospital’s maternity unit to address the growing need for these services in the region.
“October-Feast,” with a nod to the season’s celebrations, will feature three autumn-inspired soups prepared by The Blue House, Jake’s on the Water and Clarkson University, along with salads from SUNY Canton, pretzel rolls and desserts from CPH Dining Services.
Online orders may be placed by Oct. 20 at cphguild.org. Online payment options are available, while cash or checks will be accepted at the door.
