COLTON – The community living along Higley Flow in Colton will kick off Independence Day with its annual "River of Lights" celebration, children's parade and boat parade.
Wednesday, July 3
River of Lights: 9:15pm - 10:30pm. Residents living along Higley Flow will light flares along the shore and light up the river! The best view of the lights can be seen from boats on the water.
Thursday, July 4
The annual Children's Parade will step off at the junction of Cottage Road and Arbuckle Pond Road at 10 am. Children and adults wearing patriotic colors and outfits will march up Cottage Road to Gulf Road. Boats following along with the marchers along the shore are encouraged to decorate their boat in honor of July 4.
