Canton and Lisbon residents attended the 2024 Long Course Speedo Sectional Championship recently in Buffalo.
Gretchen Braun of Lisbon and Kaitlyn Redfern of Canton swam a full program with six events each at Erie Community College.
Both swimmers were able to improve upon their races: Braun competed in the 200 Free, 100 Fly, 50 Free, 100 Black, 200 Black, and 100 Free.
Kaitlyn competed in the 100 Breast, 400 IM, 200 Breast, 100 Back, 200 Back, and the 200 IM. Gretchen qualified for the Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Greensboro N.C. in December.
Gretchen was also the 3rd Place Female High Point Swimmer of the meet.
