Canton Free Library summer programming deadline is June 21

CANTON -- The registration deadline is coming up on June 21 for this year’s children’s Summer Library Program at the Canton Free Library.   

Again this summer, the Canton Free Library will offer age-specific programs for children ages birth through 12 years.  Please register kids 18 months through 12 years for their age-specific programs which will include books, movement, crafts, games, music, and summertime fun.

The schedule for programs will be:

  • Newborn-17 months with a caregiver meets Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • 18-35 months with a caregiver meet at 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays
  • 3-4 year olds with a caregiver meet on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • 5-6 year olds meet on Tuesdays at 1 p.m.        
  • 7-8 year olds meet on Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
  • 9-12 year olds meet on Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

Also, there are special all-ages events on Thursdays at 2 p.m.:

  • The Science of Energy show with Jeff Boyer on July 11th at the First Presbyterian Church
  • Books at the Beach on July 25th at Taylor Park. We’ll have a special guest for this event, local author Laura Lavoie!
  • The Annual Summer Library Pet Show on Aug. 1 at the First Presbyterian Church

Registration for the Pet Show and all age-group sessions with the exception of the birth to 17-month-old program is required and space is limited.
