Bruce J. Robinson, 78, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG - Funeral services for Bruce J. Robinson, age 78 of Ogdensburg will be held at 2:00pm on Friday (Sept 13, 2024) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon Mark LaLonde officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held also on Friday prior to the funeral from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson passed away on Saturday (Sept 7, 2024) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with his family by his side.

Surviving are his two daughters Carrie (Dan) Lake of Heuvelton and Holly (Rob) Marchesi of Port Orange, FL; four grandchildren Jack & Bryce Lake of Heuvelton, Cassidy Dunnican of New Jersey and Cole Dunnican of Florida; brother-in-law Timothy Spriggs of Ogdensburg; sister-in-law Judy Lesperance of  Ogdensburg; along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife Linda on May 9, 2022; an uncle Les Porter; and two brother-in-laws William & Joseph Spriggs.

Bruce was born on December 27, 1945 in Neosha, MO, a son of the late James & Geraldine (Porter) Robinson. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and continued his education at Canton ATC. He was in the US Army, and later married Linda Spriggs on Sept 11, 1971.

During his career he worked for IBM as a field engineer in Poughkeepsie, Albany, Saranac Lake, Oswego and Endicott. Bruce relocated back to Ogdensburg after IBM and worked for several bars & restaurants during his retirement years. He enjoyed traveling with Linda, spending time in Myrtle Beach, daily happy hours, and attending grandchildren’s sporting events. He was also a former member of the Ogdensburg Elks Club.
