LISBON -- Bartley Phineas Griffin Nelson - July 15, 2014 - May 12, 2022

Bartley Phineas Griffin Nelson of Lisbon, NY passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents, Darlene and William (Bill) Nelson. Bartley was 8 years old.

Bartley was a dog that legends are made of.

Anyone who met him instantly fell in love. He enjoyed the simplest of things and was thrilled with the dawn of each new day.

He savored daily walks with his Mommy and followed her everywhere.

Bartley took great pleasure in car rides, rolling in deer poop, smelling anything and everything, sharing bananas with his Daddy & belly rubs.

Bartley was a gracious host. He greeted all visitors with licks, a wagging tail & allowed dogs who visited to play with his toys and drink from his water dish.

Bartley will be greatly missed by many, but none more so than his Mommy & Daddy.

Bartley was his Mom’s constant source of comfort, companionship & joy. His fierce love never wavered.

Bartley was a special gift who taught us lessons about life that we will forever treasure.

Every day for Bartley was a grand, triumphant celebration. His giving heart to his parents was never empty, it overflowed even at his last breath.

Bartley was simply the BEST.
