MACOMB - Allan W. Rupert, age 81, of Macomb, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 19, 2026, at his home. Private graveside services will be held at Pinehill Cemetery.
Allan was born on October 28, 1945, in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Al “Big Fist” and Emma (Dionne) Rupert. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967.
He was awarded an honorary degree from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 2008. His previous marriage to Susan England ended in divorce.
Allan worked as a therapy aide at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center until becoming disabled in the 1980s. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including fishing, hunting, feeding the turtles in his pond, watching westerns, listening to country music, and trying his luck at the casino.
Above all, Allan cherished the time he spent with his family and the memories they created together. He was also a lifetime member of the AMVETS and the American Legion, organizations that reflected his pride in his military service and his connection to the community.
Allan is survived by his four children, James Rupert and his companion, Denise Congelton, of Morristown; Scot (Amanda) Rupert of Morristown; Richard (Shannon) Rupert of Heuvelton; and Allen Rupert of Hampton Beach, NH. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jasmin Singer, Jared Rupert, Jenna Brielle, Andrew (Shelby) Rupert, Alyssa Rupert, Sarah Waite, Morgan Denny, Samantha Menard, Logan Bruyn, Danielle Rupert, Austin Rupert, and Chandler Rupert, Courtney Remington, Joshua Remington, and Dalton Hersey; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.
He is also survived by his two brothers, John (Sandra) Rupert of Ogdensburg and Jerry Rupert of Waddington; his sister, Jean Holmes of Ogdensburg; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Allan was predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Donna Bowden and Joyce Flood, and his niece, Karen Rupert.
