OGDENSBURG -- Bruyere Chadwick Realty was recently sold to America 1 Realty.

After 36 years in real estate at the helm of her family business, Allison Chadwick has decided to retire as owner of Bruyere Chadwick Realty.

As of Feb. 1, America 1 Realty owner, Rhonda Roethel purchased Bruyere Chadwick Realty from Chadwick, her long-time friend.

“Even though we were competitors, we have always remained friends,” Roethal said.

Roethel will run both companies under her firm's America 1 Realty name at her present 1801 Ford St. location.

Roethel is one of the founders of America 1 Realty which Roethel and her two former business partners started after the attacks on Sept. 11, giving rise to the company name in show of the support for the country.

America 1 Realty services all of St. Lawrence County, and has agents named as “Platinum Producing Realtors” by the Tri-County Women's Council of Realtors.

Roethal said she was approached by Chadwick to purchase the company. Roethal was interested in purchasing Bruyere Chadwick Realty because “Allison took pride in her company.”

This acquisition, Roethal says, will strengthen her business through the new clients and contacts.

She said America 1 Realty is set to unveil a new website, www.America1realty.com.

Roethal said it will be interactive, include links to financiers, housing tips and more.

Her staff includes associate brokers Mildred Recore, Kim Snyder, Martha Morrison; and licensed real estate salespersons Lisa Meyer and Nick Doe.
