Russell P. Snyder III, 28, Potsdam, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having an uninspected motor vehicle on July 5 at 1:22 a.m. on Pine St.

Snyder was stopped on Pine Street for not having an inspection sticker on his vehicle. A Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) check showed his license was suspended.

Justin Lee Merritt, 20, Brasher Falls, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having an uninspected motor vehicle on July 5 at 2:59 a.m. on Maple St.

Merritt was stopped for speeding on Maple Street. The vehicle he was driving was found to have an expired inspection sticker and a DMV check showed his license to be suspended. Merritt was issued a verbal warning for speeding.

He is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court on July 19.

Marah S. Butterfield, 32, Potsdam, was charged with petit larceny on July 5 at 10:47 a.m. following an investigation into a larceny at the Market Street Kinney Drugs.
