Opinion: Trinity Catholic School in Massena has successful gala

To the Editor:

On Saturday, May 20, Trinity Catholic celebrated our 7th Gala with A “Knight” in Las Vegas theme. The event was sold out and we’re so grateful to the many hands that went into a successful evening. Thanks to the efforts by the people and businesses below, this event raised almost $30,000 for our beloved school. This funding helps the school in many ways, notably, providing funding for families who cannot pay tuition, and for any unforeseen expenses.

We thank our sponsors: Diamond Sponsor Donaldson Funeral Home, Orvis St. Discount Wines and Liquor, Frenchie’s Chevrolet, Massena Savings & Loan, Laneuville’s Beverage Center, Mark Bogdan CPA, Eagle Beverage Company, Anson Burke, Allstate Insurance Agent, and Fay Motors Inc.

Mrs. Tish Laneuville and Ms. Denise Laneuville were also chosen as this year’s honorees for their commitment to this event, and our school, for many years.

Thank you to our Gala Committee: Sarah Tsibulsky, Monica Boyea, Emily Currier, Lena Mather, and Joyce Giroux.

To the decorating committee, as well as all the volunteers for transforming our dining hall into gorgeous Las Vegas

To the entertainment committee, as well as the evening’s entertainers, several of them being Trinity alumni. There were also special appearances by Fr. Mark Reilly, Fr. Nick Revilla, Tom Oldenburg, and Matthew Beard. Many hours of work went into our entertainment, and it was fabulous.

To the Jackpot committee for working so hard to get the amazing Jackpot prizes for the evening! And to the businesses who donated to our prize jackpots.

To Coach’s Corner for the amazing meal, and to Main Street Perc for the delicious appetizers and desserts.

To the professional servers who volunteered to be with us for the night. Also, to the kitchen staff who helped the meal run smoothly.

To the student servers who stepped up to help us that evening. Again, many of them being TCS graduates.

To the volunteer staff for manning the bar, and to In-Law Brewing Company for supplying us with their craft beer.

To Candace O’Neill for emceeing the event.

To Arno Lippassaar for running our live auction.

To Andrey Oloan from DualTone Photography for capturing this wonderful evening with his beautiful photography.

To faculty and staff for their patience as we transformed Trinity into the city that never sleeps.

To each volunteer who helped bring this event together, and to those who helped take it all down the next morning. Please forgive us if we’ve forgotten to mention you!

And finally, to the guests who came and enjoyed this evening with us. We look forward to seeing you next year.
