LOUISVILLE— The New York Power Authority today announced the temporary closure of the Richards Landing Dike Trail beginning Monday, Oct.7.
The closure will accommodate necessary dike maintenance to improve site drainage ahead of the fall/winter storm season.
Located in the Town of Louisville, Richards Landing Dike Trail is adjacent to the River Course at Louisville Landing and is within the boundary of NYPA’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project.
Beginning Monday, the public is asked to stay off the trail while construction takes place.
Heavy equipment and vehicles will be using the trail to access the work area. Signage will be in place during the closure to remind the public that the trail is closed. Construction is expected to continue through November.
Members of the public are encouraged to use other trails during the construction. NYPA will notify the public when the construction is complete, and the trail is again open for use.
