To the Editor:
I would like to publicly endorse Brenda Spurbeck of Potsdam, Chad Colbert of Stockholm and Harry Smithers of Gouverneur for election to the St. Lawrence County Legislature.
I was disappointed to see Democrat Margaret Haggart and Susan Fiacco and others publicly supporting a proposal to take money from Ogdensburg even after they were told it would bankrupt our city and effectively force our community to defund our police and fire departments.
Both Brenda Spurbeck and Harry Smithers of Gouverneur have assured me that if they are elected they will stand with Ogdensburg during this fiscal crisis and join me and Dave Forsyth in opposing any cuts to Ogdensburg's funding.
Please join me in standing with Ogdensburg just as our community has always stood with our neighbors when they have needed our help.
