Yang's research interests are in dynamical systems, functional differential equations, partial differential equations, and computer-assisted proofs.
She has co-published in academic journals, including Journal of Differential Equations, SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, and SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems. She also serves as a reviewer for several academic journals.
Yang previously served as a postdoctoral fellow at Brown University's Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics.
