OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce has announced that eighth-grader Gabe Clark is the February OFA Student of the Month.
He was nominated by OFA Guidance Counselor Kerri TenEyck, who said, “Gabe demonstrates characteristics of leadership, perseverance, and optimism. He is a notably dedicated worker. He maintains an excellent attitude and is a motivated student. Gabe cooperates consistently with teachers and students.”
Gabe is involved in many activities in and out of school. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Builders Club, Reality Check, soccer, and spring track. Gabe is also a member of the OMHA Bantam Hockey Team. In 2018, the team made it to the New York State finals. He was also selected to go to Virginia to protest against big tobacco companies last year with Reality Check. He is also interested in fitness and the outdoors. He volunteers at many places throughout the community.
Gabe received a certificate from OFA, a Chamber Dollars check sponsored by Ed-Med Federal Credit Union, and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber.
