SARANAC LAKE — Ogdensburg native Valerie Patterson won the People's Choice award at the annual juried show at the Adirondack Artists Guild for her watercolor painting, "That Persistent Memory."
This award is donated each year by a local friend of the arts.
Patterson, formerly an art teacher in Saranac Lake, was a member of the Artists Guild for many years before moving back to Ogdensburg, her home town.
Her painting was awarded an honorable mention at the opening reception for the show.
Meg Bernstein once again created ribbons for all the prize winners.
