CANTON — Nuala Woods has been appointed as Little River Community School’s Youngers teacher, grades K-2, for 2024-2025.
She has worked at Little River as a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher since the 2020 school year, according to a press release from the school.
The release said her interest in pursuing full-time teaching was piqued and in May, she will obtain a master’s of childhood education from SUNY Potsdam and teaching certificates from New York State.
Woods also holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies from St. Lawrence University.
Outside of the classroom, Woods enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, and discovering new passions, the release said. She loves spending time outdoors swimming in all seasons, running, hiking, alpine and Nordic skiing.
