Lots of fun to be had at Louisville Summer Bash Aug. 20-22

LOUISVILLE — Louisville Summer Bash is slated for Aug. 20-22 with a car show, duck race, activities for kids and live music planned.

On Friday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. there will be an ice cream social and classic car cruise-in at the Louisville Fire Station, on the corner of CR 36 and CR 39. The Lions Club will host their annual duck race as well.

Events on Saturday, Aug. 21, kick off with a four-person golf scramble. The $50 fee includes golf and a chicken BBQ. More info: 315-769-2293.

A chicken BBQ at the community center runs 1 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $12.

The fun continues at 1 p.m. with games for kids, water slides, a bounce house and obstacle course. There is no charge.

A cornhole tournament will be held. The cost is $40 for a two-person team. The tourney takes place at the community center, Signups are at the town office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a concession stand, wine slushies from River Myst, ice cream from Stewart’s, and refreshments from In Law Brewing and A Caption Refreshments. Italian Affair and Pig & Moo Food Truck will also serve food.

The band SFM will entertain at 2 p.m. and at 5 p.m. there will be a belly dance demonstration.

Live music with East Street Band kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

A fireworks display caps the night off around 9:30 p.m.

The festival wraps up Sunday with Louisville Community Church service at 9:15 a.m. This will be followed by a community picnic at noon. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. Bring a side dish for your table.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Louisville Summer Bash Committee, Louisville Boy Scouts, Louisville Helping Hands, the Rod & Gun Club, Louisville Lions Club, and local vendors.
