Kaleidoscope event to celebrate international cultures in Canton

CANTON — The St. Lawrence University International House and International Student Services will present Kaleidoscope, an event celebrating international cultures on Saturday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Eben-Holden Conference Center.

There will be singing, dancing, instrumental performances, and a fashion show by students, faculty, and staff performers.

The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional attire to celebrate their cultures.

Light refreshments from cultures and countries around the world will be provided.

Kaleidoscope was founded in 2006 by Victor Kai-Rogers '08, an international student from Freetown, Sierra-Leone.

Since that time, the event is hosted annually by the International House (I-House) during World Languages Week, which celebrates international traditions and cultures with our community.

In 2018, St. Lawrence received the prestigious Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization, which distinguishes excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university.

To find the Eben Holden Conference Center, from the main intersection in downtown Canton, proceed south on Park Street through the St. Lawrence University campus. Signs will direct you to the appropriate parking lots and the Eben Holden Conference Center.
