CANTON – Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is presenting the cooking series International Finger Foods, with four planned workshops in coming weeks.
Carol Budd, master food preserver volunteer and lifetime cook, will teach students to create appetizers and show techniques to preserve them for future meals.
Every class features ingredients grown in the North Country and includes hands-on opportunities, sampels and recipes.
Workshops will be held at the Extension Learning Farm’s kitchen on the following Saturdays from 1-3 p.m.:
• Steamed pork buns, Jan. 11;
• Meat and vegetable empanadas, Feb. 8;
• Vegetarian egg rolls, March 14;
• Vegetarian samosas, April 11.
Students can attend any or all of the classes they wish. The cost is $20 per workshop.
