Vote for Democratic candidates for county legislature

To the Editor:

As a St. Lawrence County legislator, I know how much the decisions made in our boardroom matter to the people we serve. That is why I am proud to support the Democratic candidates running for the County Legislature this November.

We are fortunate to have such a talented group willing to step forward. Their backgrounds span education, healthcare, finance, military service, social services, and local government. That diversity of skills and experience would strengthen our legislature, bringing different perspectives to the table and helping us make thoughtful, informed decisions.

Our county’s needs are significant, especially for older residents struggling to afford food, heating, transportation, and care, and for children whose families are working hard to meet basic needs. County government has a responsibility to help our seniors live with dignity and independence and to ensure that children have the safety, nourishment, and support they need to thrive. Responsible budgeting must reflect both careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars and compassion for the people we serve.

We need legislators who listen, ask questions, treat others with respect, and work together to address these challenges. I believe this group would help move our county in a positive direction.

I am pleased to stand alongside Adam Jarrett, District 3; Daniel Horton, District 5; Ginger Storey-Welch, District 7; Paula Sturge, District 8; Anthony Levato, District 9; Amber Spinner, District 11; Patrick Brady, District 12; Setcher Krywanczyk, District 13; and John Michno, District 15, as I seek reelection in District 10.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me to represent our community. The work continues, and the people we elect will help shape what comes next.

Early voting begins October 24 and continues through November 1 at the Potsdam Central School Annex, 68 Lawrence Avenue, and the Dobisky Center, 100 Riverside Avenue in Ogdensburg. Election Day is November 3. Please support the Democratic candidate in your district, and encourage your friends and neighbors to vote.
