MASSENA -- Planning for the village of Massena's "Fall Fest: Pumpkinpalooza" is in the final stages as more than 50 vendors and four music acts have been confirmed for the event.

The annual event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in Massena.

Village Trustee Shelyn Peets, who has played a big role in planning the event, recently provided an update to trustees.

Peets said the vendor list was largely finalized with more than 50 booths scheduled to tae part.

Food trucks will also include subs, ice cream, donuts, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ and Italian food from local businesses.

Brews and sips will include craft beers from local brewers, as well as non-alcoholic drinks from The Lemon Drop and The Happy Hive.

But the event will not just be limited to local vendors and businesses, as kids' activities are also planned.

Families can find bounce houses, face painting and other events specific for children throughout the course of the day.

Live music will also be featured, with Lacey Rae, Atom Ghost, Dad Bods and Plan B all scheduled to take part.

Fall Festival is open to the public and free to attend, though some vendors may charge for services.
