MASSENA -- Winter sports registration is now open for Massena Central School District students.
Officials say the registration period will close Friday, October 30.
Athletes can sign up for basketball, competitive cheer, wrestling, hockey, indoor track and rifle.
New this year will be a girls wrestling team, officials said.
To sign up, families should log into the school athletics page.
For JV and varsity sports, including modified wrestling, seasons begin November 16.
All modified sports will begin November 23.
Private provider sports physicals are always welcome, with a form provided on the registration page.
Families are asked to attach the registration form when completed by a physician.
Those who do not have an updated physical on file can also have the school's medical provider at the Junior High or High School conduct a physical as well, officials said.
