MASSENA - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tami Joyce Mangel on early Friday morning, September 27, 2024, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Tami was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to helping others, always offering kindness and support to those in need.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose generosity touched countless lives.

Tami was born on September 4, 1957, to Carl and Arlene (Locey) King. She was a graduate of Massena Central High School’s Class of ‘75.

Tami had been a stay-at-home mother for most of her life before venturing into the working world, where she had been employed by several businesses throughout the years.

She was a lover of all animals, but she had a great fondness for her cats. Her home was always a haven for her beloved feline companions, and she found joy in caring for them with the same tenderness she shared with her family and friends.

Tami cherished her role as a grandmother. She was a wonderful and loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren, filling their hearts with warmth, wisdom, and countless cherished memories.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Stowell and fiancé, Joe Boisvert, and Aaron Gregor; her two grandchildren, Riley Stowell and Bryce Babcock. Her siblings, Carla Brumber and husband Tom, Mike King, Steve King, Lori Myers and husband Dave, and Carl King Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews, will forever hold her in their hearts.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Kevin Gregor, her second husband, Dale Mangel, her brother, Todd King, and her parents, Carl, and Arlene King.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date with a celebration of life to follow.
