CANTON -- SUNY Canton's Canino School of Engineering Technology will hold their annual Open House to commemorate National Engineers Week from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 in Nevaldine Hall.
Parents and children of all ages are invited to attend the free event, which features more than 15 hands-on activities that are designed to inspire students to pursue STEM careers. Attending high school juniors and seniors can enter a raffle to win a $2,000 or $1,400 SUNY Canton scholarship.
Guests will get a glimpse into the college's tech-focused programs by meeting faculty and learning about robotics, testing out virtual reality equipment, exploring game design techniques, meeting the college's award-winning steel bridge team and more.
Dinner will be provided, and guests can register by visiting the Engineers Week webpage.
