POTSDAM — A book club, story times, banking 101, aromatherapy, avant-garde music and art, divination, arts and crafts, and more are offered at Potsdam Public Library in September.

The Noon Book Club meets the second Wednesday of each month from noon-2 p.m. in the upstairs classroom of the library. The Evening Book Club will take a break in September, but will meet Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m.

Summer Storytime for toddlers meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ives Park, Itty Bitty Story Time for prenatal to walkers meets Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.  on the third floor balcony suite.

Financial wellness presentations with Key Banker Matt Fozard will be held every first Friday of the month from 2-3 p.m.  Banking 101 will be presented Fri., Sept. 6.

Aromatherapy techniques to aid in focus, calming worries and supporting good sleep will be held Sept. 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. with aromatherapist Kat Wilcox.

An evening of avant-garde music and art will be held Sat., Sept. 14 from 6-9 p.m. It will feature the Potsdam experimental bass/drums, sax and voice trio, The Fault Commission, with special guests A Working Method, from Canton, Perry James Conrad, from Round Lake, and local artist and copper jeweler Jimmy Gann of Prometheus Metal Works. $10 door fee, no one turned away for lack of funds.

All about divination will be explored by Kat Wilcox Sept. 26 from 6-8 p.m. Learn about astrology, pendulums, charm casting, tarot, I Ching, numerology and more.

The Artist Guild with Marie for artists 11+ who enjoy a calming environment to focus and work on their craft will be Saturdays from 2-3:30 p.m. Art supplies are provided. Space is limited to eight people. Email mpamell@potsdamlibrary.org to sign up.

Arts and Crafts for Kids, a free style creative fun club for ages 12 and under, meets every Monday at 4 p.m. Art supplies will be provided.

Drop-In Chess Club will be held the first and third Tuesday of the month from 3-7 p.m. for players of all levels. Chess boards are provided in the main reading room. Try it with a friend or a fellow patron.

Purl Jam, a knitting club, meets every Thursday at noon in the North Country nook of the library. Bring your fiber work of any kind.

 Lego Club for grades 2-6 meets every second Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Build a different themed challenge every month. To register, call 315-265-7230.

The Potsdam Public Library Board Meeting is Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
