CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will honor three local businesses during its 2026 Annual Dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Barrington Student Union multipurpose room at SUNY Potsdam.

LeBerge & Curtis has been named Business of the Year. The fourth-generation dealership has served the region since 1954 and holds the longest active membership in the Chamber’s history, having joined in 1973.

SeaComm will receive the Customer Service Excellence Award. Founded in 1963 by 10 Massena foundry workers operating out of a toolbox, the credit union has expanded to nine branches serving more than 55,000 members across northern New York and Vermont.

Upstate Candles has been selected as Local Producer of the Year. The Ogdensburg business produces scented candles, wax melts, soaps, scrubs and skin care products. Its storefront is located at 230 Caroline St.

The program also will include a “State of the Chamber” update on regional business and tourism initiatives in 2026.

“This event brings together business leaders, community advocates, and entrepreneurs from across St. Lawrence County to celebrate our collective work to enhance economic and community vitality,” said Ben Dixon, the Chamber’s executive director. “We encourage community members and business partners to register and join us for an evening of networking and celebration.”

The schedule includes a cocktail and networking hour, silent auction and 50/50 raffles from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner, a Chamber presentation and award presentations from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A live auction presented by Dawn Merz of Stephen’s Media is scheduled for 8 to 9 p.m.

Silent auction results and 50/50 drawings will follow the award presentations. Winners must be present to win. Businesses interested in donating auction items may contact Laura Pearson at Laura@slcchamber.org by Friday, Oct. 16.

The event is sponsored by AmeriCU Credit Union, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Northern Credit Union and Bill Rapp Chevrolet of Ogdensburg.

Pre-registration is required. Tickets and table reservations are available at tinyurl.com/STLCdinner or by calling the Chamber office at 315-386-4000.
