POTSDAM — A community celebration of early voting took place Saturday, Oct. 24, at Ives Park in Potsdam, coinciding with the first day of in-person early voting for the 2026 midterm election.
The event, “VOTE EARLY! A Celebration of Our Right to Vote,” was held around the park’s gazebo and featured the theme “Voting Is Our Superpower!”
Sponsored by Indivisible St. Lawrence County, North Country Neighbors for Civic Engagement and the St. Lawrence County League of Women Voters, the free, nonpartisan event featured special guests dressed as Wonder Woman, the Statue of Liberty and Benjamin Franklin.
Activities and photo opportunities were available for children, and attendees were encouraged to celebrate their right to vote.
