HEUVELTON – “Shark Tank” contestant Joshua Parker, owner of Parker’s Real Maple, recently visited eighth grade students at Heuvelton Central School.
He shared how he was able to develop a business plan and build his business. He mentored student groups who are working on a Project Based Learning (PBL) activity and provided samples of Parker’s Maple Cotton Candy, maple syrup and maple butter for students to try.
“Students appreciated his willingness to share his time and expertise,” according to Julie Madlin, social studies teacher at Heuvelton Central.
