After a lull in precipitation, scattered showers will return for today and Saturday, accompanied by some breezy winds in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Temperatures will be seasonably cool, with highs near 62 expected today and winds 9-15 mph, the service says. Rain is most likely to fall in mid to late afternoon.

Overnight the low will be around 39 and highs on Saturday will reach near 50 with partly sunny skies.

Drier air returns Sunday, with quiet weather to start the work week, the service says.
