Sandra A. Warren, 66, Morristown

MORRISTOWN -- A graveside service for Sandra A. Warren will be held Saturday July 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown with Pastor David Sheppard officiating.

Sandra passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Hospice of Jefferson County in Watertown, NY.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Sandra is survived by her loving mother, Beryl Gibson of Chippewa Bay, NY; step son, Keith Warren and his wife Kara of Lisbon; two step daughters, Cheryl Warren and her husband Josh of Morristown and Lesli Warren and her companion Cory of Kingston, MA; her devoted companion, Thomas Trombly of Cossayuna, NY; her brother, Kevin Gibson of Chippewa Bay, NY; her sister, Karen Snyder of Syracuse, NY; eleven grandchildren, Elija and his wife Courtney, Roxanne, Joseph, Maeve, Orion “Zell” and his companion Autumn, Hannah, Alice, Elwood, Leah, Caleb and Madeline; two great grandchildren, Carson and Veda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandy was predeceased by her father, Richard Gibson and husband, William “Howard” Warren.

Sandra was born May 10, 1958, in Alexandria Bay, NY to the late Richard Gibson and Beryl Petrie.

She graduated from Hammond Central School in 1976 and later pursed further education in business where she enjoyed a diverse career.

After high school, Sandy worked as a Hostess at Gran View for many years.

She later moved to Missouri, California, and Illinois where she served as Executive Secretary for Weyerhaeuser Group while in California and Browning Ferris Industries while in Illinois.

Returning to the North Country, Sandy worked as a Legal Secretary for Silver and Lake Law Firm and later working in the photo department at Wal-Mart.

In March of 1998, she began her tenure as the Village Clerk of Morristown, retiring in 2019 with the village’s dissolution.

In August of 1994, Sandra married Howard Warren, he predeceased her on December 31, 2016.

She cherished horseshoes and bowling, but her greatest joy was found on the St. Lawrence River where she loved swimming and boating.
