Sady S. Vebber, 95, Colton

COLTON -- Sady S. Vebber, 95, passed away on June 18, 2024, with her family at her side.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery, West Parsihville, NY with William Huckle presiding.

Per Sady’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Colton.

Mrs. Vebber passed away while under the care of the loving staff at the Alice Center in Malone, NY where she had been a resident for the past three years.

Surviving Sady are her two daughters, Jo Ann Graham, Colton and Judy (Willard) Witherell, Parishville; her brother, William (Sylvia) Smith, Colton; her beloved grandchildren, Tiffany Graham, South Colton; Jon Graham, Pierrepont and Cody (Shayla) Witherell, Morrisville, NY; her great-grandchildren, Wyatt Cole (Lacey Kenny), Colton and Sydney and Ian Graham, Pierrepont; her great-great grandsons, Rolen and Wade Cole, Colton and several nieces and nephews that she loved as her own; a special family friend, Regena Sutton, Canton and many of the neighborhood children that were always welcome at her home.

Sady was pre-deceased by her husband, Lee; her parents, Roy and Emily (Bicknell) Smith; three sisters, Cassie (Arthur) Bartlett, Bernice (Ivan) Law and Betty (Morris) Johnson and her five brothers, Durwood (Elizabeth) Smith, Kenneth (Virginia) Smith, Roswell (Nellie) Smith, Frank (Mary) Smith and Richard (Edith) Smith.

Sady was born in Potsdam on May 23, 1929, to the late Roy and Emily Smith from Colton.

Sady graduated from high school and married Lee E. Vebber on September 12, 1948, spending 56 wonderful years together before Lee’s passing on November 7, 2004.

She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, downhill skiing and loved to be with her family and friends.
