CANTON -- Noelle Black of Russell, will participate in faculty-mentored research at St. Lawrence University during summer 2023.
The scholar program is designed to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students in mathematics, science, technology, and health-related fields.
Black is collaborating with Associate Professor of Biology Alexander Schrieber. Their research project is titled, "Learning from the Past and Perfecting an Experiment to Determine if Thyroid Hormone and Stress Hormone Have a Compound Effect." Black is a member of the Class of 2024 and is majoring in biology and sociology.
