CANTON -- Ronald Dunn, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 3,2024 at Maplewood United Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton, New York with his daughter Rondi Jo and his sister Dee by his side.

There will be no calling hours or services per his wishes.

Arrangements are under the direction of Larue & Pitcher Funeral Home, a subsidiary of Frary Funeral Home located at 515 Caroline St. Ogdensburg, NY 13669

He was born on November 7, 1946, in Ogdensburg, N.Y. He was the son of the late Luella [Dwight] Dunn.

He is survived by his daughter, Rondi Jo Dunn of Russell, NY grandson Brandon Dunn and grandaughter Riannon Dunn as well as his, great- grandchildren, Ashton, Kane, Hudson and Easton all of Russell, N.Y. He is survived by his loving sister, Deanne" Dee" Allen Powers of Ogdensburg, his sister, Kathleen Waite of Ogdensburg and his brothers Wayne Dunn of Clinton, NY. Wendell Dunn and his fiance Sally of Verona, NY. his sister-in-law, Janet Dunn of Whitesboro, NY and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, very close brother Wally Dunn, and brothers Robert Dunn and Donald Dunn. his sisters, Mary Dunn and Judy Rutherford also predeceased him as well as many great friends including his lifelong best friend Jeffery White.

After graduating from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1965, in 1966 he enlisted in the United States Air Force He served as a Security Policeman at Langley AFB, Virginia. Later serving in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He served in the Air Force until his honorable discharge in1972. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 2936 in Ogdensburg, NY. He love gardening and building a bonfire , enjoying a Budweiser with his friends.
