Rock the Call event a huge success

To the Editor:

Americans Supporting Armed Services (ASAS) would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped make the annual Rock the Call Music Festival, held September 26, 2026, a success. Thanks to the generosity of our North Country communities, the event raised nearly $4,000 to support our mission.

Each year, event founder and organizer Andy Deon brings together talented musicians, local businesses, volunteers, and community members to raise funds for nonprofit organizations throughout our region. We are incredibly grateful that Americans Supporting Armed Services was selected as this year's beneficiary.

A special thank you goes to the Outlaw Saloon in Winthrop, NY, for graciously stepping forward at the last minute to host the event following an unexpected venue change.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all the talented musicians who donated their time and talents to entertain those in attendance: Johnny Droppers, Dad Bods, Honeycomb, Plan-B, Atom Ghost, Sweet Revenge, The Tom and Ashley Project, Jeremy Bar-Illan, Sister Cinnamon, and Divided Roads. Your performances and generosity helped make the day memorable.

We would also like to recognize our generous sponsors, including Malone Ford, Latham's Auto of Ogdensburg, Community Connections of Malone, and AMVETS Post 282 of Potsdam, along with a special thank you to White's Hardware of Watertown and Gouverneur for their generosity and support.

A very special thank you goes to Michael Villeneuve, who organized the motorcycle run held in conjunction with Rock the Call. Michael has been a strong and avid supporter of Americans Supporting Armed Services for many years, and his continued dedication, generosity, and commitment to our organization is deeply appreciated. This year's motorcycle run saw an amazing turnout of 32 motorcycles and raised nearly $1,000. We extend our sincere thanks to every rider and passenger who participated and helped make the run such a success. We hope to carry that same enthusiasm and support into next year's American Heroes Festival, where we look forward to bringing our motorcycle community together once again for another great cause.

To the many volunteers who worked alongside the ASAS team, whether assisting with setup, raffles, fundraising, or the countless details behind the scenes, we cannot thank you enough. Your time and dedication are truly appreciated.

Finally, to everyone who attended, donated, purchased raffle tickets, or simply came out to show their support, thank you.

We would especially like to recognize Andy Deon for his continued dedication to giving back to the nonprofit community through Rock the Call. His commitment to bringing people together through music while supporting worthwhile causes is a wonderful example of community spirit. We look forward to Rock the Call 2027 and are excited to support Andy in any way we can as he continues his efforts to make a difference for local nonprofit organizations.

As we look ahead, we would also like to invite everyone to join Americans Supporting Armed Services for our American Heroes Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2027, Labor Day weekend, at the Outlaw Saloon in Winthrop, NY. We hope you will join us for another opportunity to come together as a community in celebration and support of our veterans, active-duty military members, and their families. Additional event details will be announced as plans develop.

Events like Rock the Call remind us of the tremendous generosity that exists within our North Country communities. Because of individuals like you, Americans Supporting Armed Services can continue its mission of supporting those who have served and continue to serve our country.

From all of us at Americans Supporting Armed Services, thank you for making a difference.
