Richard A. "Rick" Coleman, 66, Colton

COLTON -- Calling hours for Richard A. “Rick” Coleman, 66, a resident of 214 Sturtevant Road, Colton, will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton from 4-7 p.m.

Graveside services will be held in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Colton on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10 a.m.

Rick suddenly passed away early Monday morning, June 24, 2024, at his home.

Rick is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tammy; his two sons, Scott and Stacey Coleman, Colton and Ryan Coleman and his partner, Scott Sharp, Massena; his three beloved grandchildren, Emma, Ethan and Emilee Coleman and two sisters, Linda and Dennis Eickhoff, Colton and Lisa and Gordon Ford, Hannawa Falls.

Rick was pre-deceased by his parents, Willis and Gladys and his three brothers, Willis “Bill” Jr., Steven and George Coleman.

Born in Potsdam, NY on November 14, 1957, to the late Willis and Gladys Tuper Coleman, Rick attended Colton-Pierrepont Central School.

He married Tammy L. Burnham on April 9, 1983.

Rick worked on and around automobiles all his life. He was a ASE certified mechanic and worked as a Mechanic, Service Manager and Parts Manager throughout his career. Most recently, Rick retired as Parts Manager from Parts Plus in Potsdam and previously worked at the automobile dealerships of Blevins, Dealmaker and Jim Dalton.

In his free time, Rick enjoyed the outdoors, he loved hunting and traveling, but had the greatest memories in spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
