POTSDAM — ‘Real Talk About Real Consent’ will be discussed at Potsdam Public Library on Friday, Feb. 2, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The presentation by Scott Fried bridges the gap between understanding what consent is and putting it into action.
While students may understand the concept of giving consent, they have never been taught how to withdraw consent after they have already given it, how consent works when drugs and alcohol are involved, or how to express their needs to their partner.
Scott will discuss all of this with a particular focus on consent and substance use to give the students the language necessary to communicate their wants and needs effectively.
