Morristown's July 4th parade and fundraiser for the Morristown Volunteer fire dept. enjoyed beautiful sunshine and was well attended. Area school marching bands and local fire departments and floats were featured.

Morristown Green Rockets was the first school band to march. Morristown Gateway Museum's entry featured a large portrait of Al and Lorraine Bogardus in memory of and tribute to their generous contribution to the Morristown community. The St Lawrence County Dairy Princess float featured a member of the dairy princess court and a young calf from a local dairy farm. Other area schools that marched included Heauvelton, Lisbon, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg.

WWII decorated veteran Bob Shelato of Morristown was honored at the reviewing stand for his service at the Battle of the Bulge in 1944.

He received a standing ovation from the parade attendees.

Brier Hill and Hammond fire departments marched and other local fire companies sent equipment as a parade entries in show of support for the Morristown department's largest fundraiser of the year.
