OGDENSBURG – Alexis Brown, an 8th grader at Ogdensburg Free Academy, has been named the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month for April.
Alexis was nominated for Student of the Month by Sue McLean, OFA teacher who had this to say about her, “Alexis Brown is the sweetest and kindest. She helps others, is respectful and wants to do exceptionally well. She is very respectful, and it would be fantastic to have a room full of Alexis Browns.”
Alexis is involved in several extracurricular activities throughout the school. She was a member of the All-County Chorus, Student Council, Junior National Honor Society, and Women's Engineering: Choices Program at Corning. Alexis is involved in Softball, Basketball, and Soccer. Her career aspiration when she grows up is to become a pediatrician.
Alexis received a Certificate of Achievement from OFA and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Community office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
