BRASHER FALLS — A new restaurant, Waters Edge, is now open downtown, along the St. Regis River at 928 NY 11-C,
Owner Cooper Waters, 23, said he “grew up in the kitchen.” He recently attended the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie.
"Starting and running a restaurant has been a dream of mine, although I never imagined the opportunity would come so soon in life,” said Cooper.
“Having the opportunity to serve a small community of people, and bring them together through my food is something I could have never dreamed of,” he said.
The menu includes sandwiches, burgers, steaks, salads and chicken wings. Seafood, pasta, appetizers, desserts and a kids menu are also offered. Alcohol is available.
Waters Edge is open Wednesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 11a.m. - 9 p.m. It is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Cooper’s father, John Waters, now owns the building, formerly the Riverview Restaurant.
“I currently have about 10 employees for now. In summer months we will need to hire additional employees,” said Cooper.
Waters Edge plans to offer live entertainment in the future.
