CANTON -- Just over $84,000 will be distributed to 13 organizations to support various youth development programs throughout the county.
County officials say the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) requires the county Youth Bureau to submit a resource allocation plan signature page that certifies the approval of programs and grant contracts for the 2027 Youth Development Program year.
The signing of the RAP qualifies the county for reimbursement from the state for the 2027 program year and makes OCFS funds available for allocation to youth development programs.
Through the request for proposal (RFP) process, officials said $84,050 will be distributed with the Youth Bureau acting as a pass-through agency.
The Bureau will also retain the overall responsibility to release the RFP plan, provide fiscal and grant management services, technical assistance, audit claims, monitor and evaluate all programs approved in the 2027 RAP.
