POTSDAM – Camryn J. Peets, earned her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Clarkson’s Graduation May 9, marking a significant milestone in her pursuit of excellence in the medical field. 

At the school’s prestigious long white coat ceremony, Camryn was selected as the student speaker for the Class of 2024, a testament to her outstanding leadership and dedication. Her speech resonated with the audience, emphasizing the core values instilled by Clarkson University and her impactful experiences on medical mission trips to Nicaragua. She passionately advocated for providing essential care to medically underserved communities, particularly in St. Lawrence County. 

Camryn has achieved remarkable success in her academic journey. Her exemplary academic performance and contributions to the field earned her induction into Pi Alpha, the esteemed national society for PA students and graduates. This recognition highlights her exceptional achievements, including a GPA of 3.5 or above, significant leadership, and a commitment to service. In addition, Camryn was recognized for her extraordinary service and initiative receiving both the Commendable Leadership Award and the Commendable Service Award from Phalanx during Clarkson’s Celebration & Recognition of Excellence Weekend. 

Her presidency of Clarkson University’s PA Students Without Borders organization and her involvement in medical mission trips underscore her dedication to making a positive impact in underserved communities such as the North Country. 

She has accepted an offer for an Urgent Care Fellowship program with WellNow, where she will continue serving the north country.

Camryn completed her bachelor’s degree at Clarkson in 2021, with a major in psychology, a minor in medicine and healthcare, with a concentration in health psychology. She is a 2017 graduate of Massena Central High School and is the daughter of Darren and Shelyn Peets.
