MASSENA -- The 44th annual Massena Labor Day parade and Solidarity Celebration is set to take place on Monday, Sept. 2 beginning at 11 a.m.

"We're very excited for this year's parade, our 44th annual, and expected to see hundreds take part and attend in Massena," Co-Chair Ronald McDougall said.

The theme for this year is "Fix Tier 6."

The parade is slated to start near Center and Willow Streets, near Coach's Corner restaurant before continuing up Main Street and finishing at Springs Park. Those who are marching in the parade will begin lining up around 10 a.m.

The public is welcome to attend the parade.

Along with a parade, all union members and their families are invited to a picnic in the Spring's Park following the parade.

"Like last year, we will have a picnic in the park for all of our union members and their families. We will have hamburgers, hotdogs and refreshments available. We also will have bounce houses and entertainment for their kids. It will be a great time for everyone," McDougall said.
